Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been earned on hard surfaces
A comeback Daniil Medvedev won his initial championship for 882 days with success over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The athlete, a former world number one, has had a torrid year, winning just one win at the big events and undergoing a difficult moment at the American major.
The player's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and issues with his serve in specific - caused him falling of the world's top 10 and eventually separating with long-time trainer his previous coach.
Now collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually progressed in the recent weeks - peaking in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This marks the player's initial championship since the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard court from March of that year.
Victory also means the Russian has secured 21 championships at twenty-one distinct tournaments.
"For the first time I'm at a competition with my two daughters simultaneously, so to secure a championship is really nice," said ranked player Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my second daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I achieved when my first daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his last six championship matches, comprising in the German tournament earlier this year.
His defensive play style and regular reactions on court had prompted observers to doubt if his capacity to play at the highest level was finished.
Yet the 29-year-old has made changes in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and perform positively, backed up by an enhanced serving game.
Medvedev came back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult opponent, securing 4 of the last five games to take the lead.
Both players exchanged break points in the middle set before the challenger, attempting for his maiden professional championship, seized the initiative to force a final set.
He defended 4 initial break points in a competitive deciding set before the Russian secured a break to 15 to close out the victory.
Appropriately, he earned the win with a point at the front of the court, with Moutet incapable to control a return after a lengthy match.
